Much like my daughter’s cover artwork, the recording of this song poured out of me. There were no second drafts. No second thoughts. And no second guessing. Just wrote the song, and then with the help of some friends, pressed record. This was done with intention. The pursuit of perfection caused me great anxiety and depression for over two decades of my life. Nowadays I seek freedom and self-love, not perfection.
I hope the song resonates with you. My dream has always been for my music to help heal, in the same way that the music of artists like Damien Rice, Joey Harkum and Bradley Nowell has helped me to heal over the years.
If you appreciate the song and/or support the Ed Lally Foundation and Big Infinite’s collective mission of self-love and mental-emotional health, please share on your social media. It’s sincerely appreciated and certainly goes a loooong way for an independent musician. Bless you all, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening.
